So Far

I'm almost done.. in fifteen more days I'll be handing in my artist packet...in twenty five days I'll be graduating... and sometime at the end of May I'll be moving to Vermont to live with my fiance.
It's the beginning of a lot of changes. It's really exciting, but there's also some stress with it. I think writing about what I need to do will probably help me see things a lot clearer. I am an obcessive list maker I must admit.

Tomorrow I need to call about having my paintings photographed. Then I have studio and seminar, we're watching presentations tomorrow. Thankfully mine's next week. Oh.. I also have to hand in my questionaire for the senior exhibition. Tommorrow night I will set up for my review for thursday morning (three of the faculty come and critique my work) Find existentialist music for friday.

For my film class I need to finish my long paper on Apocalypse Now and Platoon. I'm having a hard time writing this one. Then I have two short papers on political movies. The Contender and Wag the Dog. I haven't decided what I'm going to write for the last long paper.
The only thing I have left for zero and infinity is my portfolio, of course I haven't done it yet but it should be easy.

Issues in Ideology should just be a take home test.

And most importantly...work on my paintings!! This is becoming a pain as the semsester draws to an end because everyone wants to use the spray booth and that's the only place I can pour resin.

I know there's more I'm forgetting, but it's so hot in this room it's making me tired.

Etsy distractions

Etsy's such a great place to look for handmade stuff. I especially love looking at clothing on there. It makes me wish I knew how to create my own clothes. Maybe someday I'll pick up some skills, but in the mean time here's some cool clothes made by

A fresh start

Happy Easter everyone! I decided to start fresh with this blog and I deleted the few old posts I had on here. I have 48 days until I graduate and recieve my bfa! I'm really feeling the impending change today. I'm excited, scared, and full of nervous energy. I have so much school work to do but I also need to start looking more for job oportunities, places to live, and a studio. My hopes and aims for this blog are to document my life as an emerging artist, share my knowledge and experiences and meet other creative people. I think having a place to reflect and share everything will really help me see things clearly.
I started a few new paintings for my thesis. I'm really loving the size of the two large panels. I'll have to post a couple of in progress pictures on here. Tomorrow I have to hand in my painting Everett Mansion for the senior ICA show. I can't wait to see the show. All the work I've been seeing from my class has been really great so it should be pretty interesting. Well, I'd love to write some more but I should probably get some work done while I'm here at school. Have a great sunday!
